Today I felt more comfortable on the court and was going for a
lot of my shots. I got off to a good lead in each game which helped. The
first 2 games were very tight as you can see by the scores. It was a
good and fair match and I'm so happy to finally win another title!!!

Semi Final
Natalie Grinham bt Shelley Kitchen 9/5 9/7 9/1
Today the women joined the men on the main Showcourt. Although
it's the same type of court that we were playing on the last 2 days,
this one was in a separate room and the temperature was much cooler.
At the top level it's best to have a cool temperature so that when you
hit a good shot, whether it's a good length or a short ball, you will be
rewarded. I played well today but felt that Shelley didn't play as
well as she can.

Quarter Final
Natalie Grinham bt Engy Kheirallah 9/7 9/3 9/1
The First game against Engy was quite tough. She played well and
took advantage of my bad lengths. The ball seemed to be a little more
dead today and I found I wasn't hitting through the ball. The second
game I found much better length and was able to make the rallies longer
and make Engy tired. I was happy to finish that with a 3-0 win.

Today against Runa the ball was flying. I must say I was
impressed with the effort that Runa put in. I had her in all corners of
the court but she wasn't going to give up easy. It was a good first
round match. |
